National: Department rebrand of a rebrand. In 1947, President Harry Truman established a full-time military and rebranded the Department of War as the Department of Defense. 2025 State Convention Intro
The MoLP will be holding its State Convention in St. Joseph, MO on May 16-17 this year. Friday evening will be for socializing and Saturday for the business meeting and speakers. It will be held at the Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center just off I29. The cost to participate is discounted for advance booking

Thunderstorms have been rolling through our State not to mention a little hail which reminds us that summer is here. Our thoughts turn to festivals and fairs. A big one is coming up soon in Sedalia, MO (August 8-18). That would be the Missouri State Fair! There are plenty of activities, carnival rides and entertainment for you and your family to enjoy. Tickets can be bought in advance to save you a little moola.
